Training
At Pro-Sky Maryborough we train students with the theory and practical knowledge required to get an RAAus certificate, along with specialised endorsements for pilots wanting to improve their skills and increase their license capabilities.
Trial Instructional Flight
The first step is to have a Trial Instructional Flight (TIF), which is a short flight before starting your formal training, to get your hands on the controls and have some fun. Our TIF’s are at least 20 minutes and you will be doing most of the flying during that time.
RAUUS CERTIFICATE
An RAUus certificate allows you to fly recreational planes up to 25 nautical miles from your point of departure. By gaining endorsements you can fly without a distance limit, carry a passenger and more!
Practical
We do regular flights to build your skills to the level required to pass the certificate flight test. To gain a certificate there is a minimum of 20 hours flying experience, 5 hours of which is solo in command. The test is competency based, so it is common to spend more time than the legal minimum building your skills and confidence.
Theory
For an RAAus certificate there are 5 exams which test your knowledge in areas such as flying solo, radio procedures, air legislation, aeronautical knowledge, and human factors. We prepare you for the exams with a lesson before each flight so you are combining the theory with practical experience.

For those who have a general aviation license and want to fly RAAus registered aircraft.
Passenger Endorsement
After 10 hours of command flying get your endorsement so you can take friends and family for a flight.
Cross Country Endorsement
Learn to navigate making you free to fly to anywhere in the country outside of our restrictions.
Tail Wheel Endorsement
Pro Sky Maryborough specialise in real world tail wheel training. You will learn to operate a tail wheel aircraft from a variety of strips ensuring you come away with the skills to handle a tail wheel aircraft in all situations.
Formation endorsement
Learn to fly safely in close proximity to other aircraft in our Tecnam and Sportstar. Great for your aircraft handling skills.
Water Hull Endorsement
Great fun learning to fly on and off water safely in your own insured float plane.
Introduction to Off Airport Operations (Bush Flying)
With access to several farm strips, Pro Sky Maryborough will improve your flying skills and introduce you to the challenging and rewarding world of “Bush Flying”. For an added bonus, you will get to enjoy the amazing scenery of the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay.
